Gutter pricing is usually driven more by the house and the system design than by a single “per-foot” number. Linear footage matters, but so do height, access, gutter size, material, corners, downspouts, removal of the old system, and any fascia work discovered during the project.
What changes the estimate
- Total gutter length
- One-story versus taller or harder-to-access rooflines
- 5-inch versus 6-inch gutter
- Material choice
- Number of corners and outlets
- Downspout count and extension needs
- Removal and disposal
- Gutter guards or other add-ons
Compare scope, not just the total
Two estimates can look far apart while describing different systems. Ask what size gutter is included, how many downspouts are planned, what material and thickness are being quoted, whether removal is included, and how drainage will be handled.
