Repair the failure, not just the symptom
A drip at one corner may be a failed seal. A gutter that overflows may be clogged, undersized, poorly pitched, or restricted at the outlet. A sagging run may need hanger work, but damaged fascia can change the repair entirely.
Common gutter repairs
- Resealing corners, joints, and end caps
- Re-securing loose sections
- Correcting localized sag or pitch problems
- Replacing damaged sections where practical
- Clearing or correcting downspout restrictions
- Adding or adjusting extensions where discharge is poorly routed
When repair makes sense
Repair is usually most attractive when the majority of the system is still sound and the failure is localized. If damage is widespread, the gutter profile is badly deformed, attachment points are failing across long runs, or repeated repairs are accumulating, replacement may be more sensible.
