Aluminum
Aluminum is lightweight, widely available for seamless fabrication, and naturally resistant to rust. It can dent under impact, so gauge and installation quality matter.
Steel
Steel is heavier and can offer greater resistance to deformation, but corrosion protection is important if coatings are damaged or the material is exposed over time.
Material choice should be considered alongside profile, size, finish, budget, roof design, and the contractor's installation system.
